Schengen is a wine-growing town in south-eastern Luxembourg near the place where the borders of Luxembourg, Germany and France meet together. Before Schengen agreement, people from several countries were needed to have separate visas for each country in Europe they wished to visit. With the Schengen Agreement, border posts have been closed between participating countries. Road, rail and air passengers no longer delayed because they don’t have to get their identity checked when crossing borders.
People from Non-EEA(European Economic Area), Non-EU(European Union), countries who want to visit Europe as travelers, and who need a visa to enter the Schengen area, are just required to get a виза шенген from the Embassy of the Schengen country they plan to visit first. Hereafter, they may visit any or all of the Schengen countries as travelers or for business without difficulty. They are not needed to get separate visas for all the (Schengen) European countries they want to visit.
